The 2015 Book Club Jar.

I’m so lucky to have friends that are such avid readers… Because I think without them, I would likely re-read the Harry Potter series over and over and over again (Ain’t nothin wrong with that). I’m also not one to go out of my reading comfort zone and try books that I might not like. I need someone pushing me to try new authors, new genres, etc. So on New Years Day, my friend Abby and I sat down and tore through Pinterest looking for the best books to be reading in 2015. And thus, the book club jar was born!

Book Club Jar

We went a little overboard when picking out our list of books… We’d have 23 on the list, and would say “Let’s pick two more so we’re at 25” and then twenty minutes later we’re staring at a list of 33, then 37… We finally settled on 43 books, knowing full well that we would not get to all of them in 2015 (a sad fact, because I’m so beyond excited about every book we put on the list).

I hope to do some book reviews of the ones we get to read, but here is the list we put together!

  1. What a great list! I’ve read a few on here and would not steer you away from them. There’s quite a few that I haven’t read though!

I love my book club for the same reason that they help me branch out and read different things. Plus the fun discussions and the wine. The wine is a big plus :o) Happy reading!

  2. Thanks for sharing. With my commute I’m always looking for great books to listen to. I just finished “What I was doing while you were Breeding” – Kristin Newman. It was a great memoir of a woman who travels in her twenties and early thirties instead of settling down. Needless to say I could relate and now have a HUGE desire to plan a trip. I recommend it!

    1. AH! I should add that to the list! That sounds right up my alley! I wouldn’t recommend listening to Miss Peregrine’s Home For Peculiar Children, because there are a lot of pictures that add a lot to the story! But I like it so far!

  3. Just added you on Goodroods! I hope to read 75 books this year. (I was sooo close last year.) I look forward to your reviews and may just add some of these books to my “to read” list.
